Privacy Notice

How information sent to us through this website is handled.

Stated as at 16 August 2026. This notice describes the arrangements actually in place for this website. It should be reviewed whenever those arrangements change.

What this website collects

This website has no server-side form, no database, no login and no advertising. It does not set cookies of its own, and no analytics or tracking service is used. Nothing you type into the enquiry form is transmitted to us by the website itself: the form assembles the text and hands it to your own email application, which you then send yourself.

Two things are nevertheless worth knowing. Our web host records ordinary server logs, which typically include the requesting IP address, the page requested and the time. Pages also load a typeface from Google Fonts and, on the contact page, an embedded Google map; both are requested by your browser directly from Google, which means Google receives your IP address and can set its own cookies. If you would rather avoid that, most browsers allow third-party content to be blocked, and the site remains usable without it.

Information you send us

Enquiries. An enquiry reaches us as an ordinary email. We hold it in our email system so that we can respond, assess whether we are able to accept the matter, and carry out the conflict check we are required to perform. If an engagement follows, the correspondence becomes part of the client file and is retained for the period applicable to that file. If no engagement follows, we keep the correspondence only for as long as is needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up.

Recruitment. Applications are dealt with as described on the Careers page. Please send a curriculum vitae only at the first stage.

Client records. Records received in the course of an engagement are governed by the terms of that engagement and by our professional obligations, not by this notice.

Who has access

Within the firm, access is confined to the partners and to the staff working on the matter or on recruitment. Information necessarily passes through the providers who host our website and operate our email; they hold it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We do not sell information, and we do not pass it to anyone else except where we are required or permitted to do so by law or by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Confidentiality

Information you send us is handled in confidence. Our professional obligations of confidentiality extend to prospective clients, so an enquiry is not treated as public merely because no engagement has been signed. Confidentiality is not the same as legal professional privilege, and nothing here should be read as a claim that correspondence with us attracts privilege. Please do not send documents of identity, bank particulars or other sensitive material until an engagement is in place and a channel has been agreed.

Asking us about your information

To ask what we hold, to have something corrected, or to ask us to delete an enquiry or an application, write to mail.rbr@icai.org or telephone +91 94400 50047. We will act on the request, subject to any copy that remains in routine backups until those are overwritten, and to anything we are obliged to retain.

Changes

If cookies, analytics, a server-side form or any similar facility is introduced later, this notice will be updated before that happens.
